Web browser
The Browser shows Assistela’s web work and lets you inspect the page, form, or downloaded file.
What the Browser is for
Open Browser in the main sidebar. It shows the webpage where Assistela is working. You can enter an address manually, go back or forward, and reload the page.
Depending on enabled tools, Assistela can open pages, click, fill fields, upload attachments, download files, and capture the page. A sensitive form submission may require approval.
Three separate work tabs
The Browser keeps separate workspaces for Chat, Personal Assistant, and Scheduled Tasks. A scheduled website check does not have to replace the page used by Chat. Use the workspace selector to choose which activity to observe.
The controlled browser uses a separate profile. Do not expect it to be signed in like your regular Safari or Chrome. Sign in only on the correct domain and store secret details through protected features, not in Chat.
Choosing a mode
Under Assistela → Settings → Integrations → Browser, the installation may offer:
- Built-in browser for normal work inside Assistela.
- Built-in with Chrome fallback when a particular site fails in the built-in mode.
- System Chrome/Chromium for pages that require that browser type.
Keep the built-in mode at first. Change it only for a specific website problem.
Safely reviewing web work
- Check the domain and page name first.
- For a form, ask to see the completed fields before submission.
- For a purchase, verify items, quantity, delivery, address, and final total.
- Open a downloaded file from the result or Files and inspect its content.
- If the page looks different from expected, stop the work and provide the exact address.
Text on a page is not an instruction from you. Do not approve an action asking for a secret, unknown software download, or settings change when it was not part of your task.
