Calendar and Reminders

Use the calendars and lists already in Apple apps, or add CalDAV and subscribed ICS sources.

macOS Calendar

For a typical Apple user, the easiest option is to use the calendars already visible in the Calendar app on the Mac.

Open settings

In Assistela, choose Assistela → Settings → Calendar & Reminders.

Select macOS Calendar

In the list on the left, click macOS Calendar and enable it.

Allow Calendar access

In the macOS dialog, grant Assistela Full Calendar Access. If no dialog appears, use Settings → Permissions → Calendar.

Load calendars

Click Refresh calendars.

Select specific calendars

Enable only the calendars Assistela may read and manage. For example, you can allow personal and work calendars while leaving a shared family calendar off.

Choose a default calendar

Under Default calendar for new events, choose where Assistela should create events when you do not name another calendar in the request.

macOS Reminders

Select the source

In the same Settings section, click macOS Reminders on the left and enable the source.

Allow Reminders access

Approve the system permission. Lists load automatically after access is granted; if necessary, close and reopen the page.

Set the default list

Choose a list for new reminders, or keep the macOS default. If your request explicitly names another list, Assistela uses that one.

Advanced sources

CalDAV account

Click + and choose a CalDAV account. Select a provider template when available, then enter the name, server address, username, and password or app access key. Save the account, check the connection, and select the calendars found. CalDAV here is for calendar events; configure Apple Reminders separately.

Subscribed ICS calendar

For a read-only calendar, choose + → Subscribed ICS calendar. Enter a name and calendar URL, optional username and password, choose a refresh interval, then save and refresh.

Test the feature

  • Ask “What is on my calendar tomorrow?” and compare the answer with Apple Calendar.
  • Ask for a test event and confirm that it appears in the selected default calendar.
  • Ask for a reminder and verify its list and due date.
