General settings and response style
Set the app language, launch at login, and the default way Assistela should answer and work.
Where to find general settings
Open Assistela → Settings → General. This page changes behavior across the app. It does not configure an AI account or service permissions.
- Launch at login opens Assistela automatically after you sign in to the Mac. Enable it if you use the Personal Assistant, Scheduled Tasks, iPhone, or Telegram.
- Application language changes button and screen labels.
- The app version is shown on this page. Include it when reporting a problem.
Automatic features run on the Mac. Launch at login helps after a restart, but tasks still cannot run while the Mac is off, asleep without being able to work, or disconnected from the internet.
Default communication style
You can set separate communication defaults for Chat, Personal Assistant, and Scheduled Tasks:
Response language
Automatic normally follows the language of your request. A fixed language is useful when every result should be consistent.
Expression style
Choose a balanced, concise, detailed, friendly, analytical, or another available style.
How Assistela refers to itself
Keep the automatic neutral choice or select feminine or masculine self-reference.
AI work depth
Quick suits simple questions; Thorough and Research suit more complex multi-step work.
Recommended starting point
- Response language: Automatic.
- Style: Balanced.
- Self-reference: your preference or automatic.
- Work depth: Automatic.
These choices are only defaults. A direct instruction in the current message takes priority. You can say “Answer briefly in English” or “Research this thoroughly this time” without changing Settings.
Choose a more concise style first. Reduce work depth only when you also want less extensive checking or fewer steps. Style changes the presentation; depth changes how much work is done.
