Telegram
Telegram provides remote Chat with Assistela on the Mac through either the shared bot or your own Telegram bot.
How Telegram works
Telegram is another entry into the same continuous conversation as Chat on Mac and iPhone. The request is still processed by Assistela on your Mac, so the Mac must be on, online, and running the app.
Find setup under Assistela → Settings → Phone → Telegram.
Simple option: shared bot
Select Basic mode
Choose connection through the shared Assistela bot.
Enable automatic checking
Turn on the option that lets Assistela check Telegram regularly.
Start QR pairing
Click Start QR pairing. Open the displayed QR code or link in Telegram.
Confirm your account
Continue only in your own Telegram account and wait for Assistela to show the connected state.
The pairing QR has limited validity. Create a new one if it expires and do not send the old one to anyone.
Advanced option: your own bot
A custom bot gives more control to users who created a Telegram bot. Prepare the bot key and numeric ID of the only Telegram account allowed to use it.
- Select the advanced or custom mode.
- Paste the bot key only into its protected field.
- Enter the allowed Telegram account number.
- Click Save and Check Bot.
- Send a short test message and verify it in Chat on the Mac.
Do not paste it into Chat, a wiki, or a message. If exposed, revoke it and create a new one through the official BotFather. Set the allowed account to your own Telegram ID only.
When messages do not arrive
- Confirm that the Mac is awake, online, and running Assistela.
- Check that automatic Telegram checking is enabled.
- For the shared bot, create a fresh pairing.
- For your own bot, recheck the bot key and allowed account ID.
- A sensitive action may be waiting for approval in Chat.
