Assistela Assistela Documentation
Using Assistela

Working in Chat

Use Chat to describe the goal, attach source material, follow progress, and add an instruction or stop at any time.

How to give a good task

You do not need special commands. Describe naturally what you want to achieve, what Assistela should use, and where it should stop.

GOAL

What should be complete

“Find a free time and prepare an event draft.”

SCOPE

Where it may look

“Use only my Work calendar and emails from the last week.”

OUTPUT

How the result should look

“Summarize it in five points and include links.”

BOUNDARY

What it must not do yet

“Do not send anything; show me a draft first.”

A useful pattern

“I want [result]. Use [sources]. Follow [limits]. Before [sensitive action], show me a draft.”

Messages and attachments

  • Return sends the message. Shift + Return inserts a new line.
  • Use the paperclip to attach more than one file. Attach only material needed for the current task.
  • Assistela can locally convert and read common PDF, DOCX, XLSX, ODT, ODS, and RTF files. Save older DOC and XLS files as DOCX or XLSX first.
  • A scanned PDF without a text layer may not be fully readable. If the result is strange, check whether you can select text in the PDF.
  • Generated files appear with the answer and under Files and documents.
Secrets do not belong in Chat

Do not paste API keys, passwords, full card details, or one-time codes. Use the corresponding protected Settings field or Passwords and Cards.

While Assistela is working

The current answer shows its state and work steps. You can respond in two ways:

  • Add instruction supplements or corrects the active work. For example: “Use only Budget.xlsx.”
  • Stop ends the current work when it goes in the wrong direction or takes unnecessarily long. It cannot undo an external action that has already finished.

Chat loads the newest messages and lets you reveal older history gradually. When changing topic, state a new clear goal instead of relying only on a distant part of the conversation.

How to check the result

  1. Confirm that Assistela used the correct account, service, date range, and file.
  2. Compare amounts, dates, addresses, and names with the source.
  3. Ask for a draft before sending or saving when you want a final review.
  4. If something is missing, correct one specific point instead of repeating the entire task.
