Assistela Assistela Documentation
Getting started

Installation

Install Assistela on your Mac, complete the first launch, and optionally add the iPhone or iPad app.

Install on Mac

Always download the current version from the official Assistela download page. The app requires macOS 14 or later.

1

Download the ZIP

On the download page, click the button for the macOS version. When it finishes, the file is normally in Downloads.

2

Unzip the app

Double-click the downloaded ZIP. An application named Assistela appears.

3

Move it to Applications

In Finder, drag Assistela into the Applications folder. Running it from Downloads can make future updates and permissions less reliable.

4

Open Assistela

In Finder, open Applications → Assistela. On the first launch, confirm that you want to open the app.

If macOS does not open the app

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, find the message about Assistela, and choose Open Anyway. Only do this for a copy downloaded from the official website.

First launch

The welcome guide offers language selection, an AI account, Apple services, macOS permissions, and the Personal Assistant. You do not have to finish everything at once.

  • Choose the language you want to use in the app.
  • Complete the AI account first. It is required for chat.
  • Telegram, Apple services, macOS permissions, and the Personal Assistant are optional.
  • You can change every choice later in Settings.

After closing the guide, continue with Basic setup.

iPhone and iPad are optional

Download the iPhone or iPad app from the App Store. First get Assistela and its AI account working on your Mac. You then pair the mobile app securely with the Mac; it does not replace the Mac by itself.
