Messages
Assistela can read limited recent history and send SMS or iMessage through Apple Messages after a clear instruction.
Before you begin
Open Apple Messages first and confirm that you are signed in and can send a message from the Mac yourself. Assistela uses the same accounts and available recipients.
Enable the service
Open Messages settings
Choose Assistela → Settings → Messages.
Enable access
Turn on Allow Assistela to use SMS/iMessage.
Allow Automation
On the first action, macOS asks to control Messages. Allow it, or open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation.
Optionally allow history reading
Searching recent local messages may need Full Disk Access. Grant it only if you want this feature.
Run a safe test
First ask for a short draft to yourself or a known contact. Check the recipient and complete text before sending.
How to make requests
- State the exact recipient and preferably the phone number if two contacts share a name.
- Say whether you want only a draft or an actual sent message.
- For a group, give its exact name or members.
- Recent-history reading is limited and text-focused; it is not a full export of the Messages app.
Messages Automation allows a prepared message to be sent. Full Disk Access may be needed to read local history. Do not grant the broader permission if you do not need history.
One-time and security codes
Never send a one-time code to another person, and do not let Assistela find or enter one without an explicit current task. An unexpected request for a login, payment, or recovery code is a reason to stop.
Before sending, verify the recipient, meaning, and any amount or date. The message acts in your name and the recipient may see it immediately.
